Elmhurst Troop 17 is chartered out of
Christ United Methodist Church. We meet weekly at Bryan Middle School.
We are an active troop in the community and typically attend 8
campouts a year, generally once a month. This provides the opportunity
for fun, skill development and time in the outdoors. As a troop,
annually, we go to summer camp for 7 days, and have just recently
attended the 2013 Boy Scout National Jamboree at the Summit. We also
have a contingent heading to Boundary Waters this summer.
Our troop boasts a number of achievements,
and remains a strong organization in the community. Our yearly service
projects provide relief for many families through our yearly food and
clothing drive.
The troop also offers an amazing pancake
breakfast in April every year that bests most breakfast establishments.
